Race to the Top, Dreamed 3-11-12

I was watching a competition with a group of people. There was a structure that sort of looked like a concave mountain face. At the bottom there was a huge, seemingly bottomless, pit, lined with mirrors. As you go upward the structure looked more like a rock face. Three people were competing. At the top of the 'mountain' there were 3 scaffolding style platforms loosely tied together. Once the first person made it to the platforms, they separated, jarring the other two competitors. It was an intense and dangerous competition. Each third of the 'mountain' was designated with different levels of difficulty. The guy in the middle (and in the hardest part of the 'mountain') won. We were pretty skeptical since he would have been the one to go through the bottomless pit.

After the race, I went looking for a ladies room. There was a building behind the competition arena. There were all sorts of different categorizes of men's rooms but not so much in the way of ladies rooms. I was still looking when the three guys I just watched race, walked down the hall towards me. I stopped to talk to them, telling them how awesome they did in the race.

There was a huge time lapse in the dream. I was now going to be competing in a different race in the same arena. There were four slots and five people. Two people were in their places already. I saw a very young girl behind me, I didn't take the 'easy' track so she could have it. I didn't realize the only track left was the hardest level. Another girl crammed into my lane with me.

The tracks this time were relatively flat with a gradual downgrade. Our track had slippery grass that transitioned into dirt and rocks and puddles. There were hand saws, and other assorted metal tools scattered across the patch. The other girl and I had been tossing them off the track as we ran, barefoot, to the bottom. I reached down to pick up a tool laying in a puddle and was zapped. We then realize that our course had been electrified which was why it was the highest difficulty level.

By the time I made this revelation, I was at the bottom and most of the competitors were halfway to to top again so I picked up the pace to finish the race. I thought I could have won if the other girl wasn't on the track with me.
