Crafts, Dreamed 12-5-10

The people who used to live next door to my parents had renovated their house. They turned one end of it into a craft store. It was called 'In Out' (or something like that. There were red letters hanging over the entrance to the store.

My mom and I walked past the store to peek inside the window. They converted the carpeted floor to wood like you usually see on an outside deck. The bedroom they had converted was much smaller than the size of the craft store. We went inside to say hi. (I haven't actually seen the real people in years and that was reflected in the dream.)

There were a bunch of people in the house. I was introduced to the baby (which they don't actually have in real life) who was a few years old. I met their college age daughter who I haven't seen since she was in junior high. She told me she was majoring in algebra. I asked why algebra and she became confused. She said she only needed 3 more credits in algebra at the local community college to finish her freshman year.

She and I were sitting on a bench that overlooked what seemed like an endless body of water. It has buildings and infrastructure in it like a city had sunk partway into the water but it was absolutely stunning. My section of the bench lifted off and flew through the city several yards above the water. I could see that there were creatures swimming around in the water. When the seat got too close to the water, on the return trip, the creatures started jumping out of the water. I was sitting with my legs straight out in front of me.

Something that looked like leeches were jumping out of the water and attaching to my legs. I tried to shake them off and got most of them. I was taken past another area where different creatures were swimming and got pretty freaked out. I willed myself to just fly the rest of the way back on my own without the seat.

When I returned we were no longer looking at water but were at the end of a hallway in some sort of shopping mall/office type building. There was a bench set into the wall so whatever was down the hall couldn't see us.
