Indiana Jones the Musical, Dreamed 8-19-11

I was in a show directed by the high school theater director. The show was a theatrical version of Indiana Jones. The whole thing was a mess and very unorganized. The backstage area was a mess... props, costuming and people were all over the place. The stage was the driveway at my parents' house.

We were in the middle of the dress rehearsal and I still didn't know what my role was. During the rehearsal, I took the script (which was also a mess) to the director and asked who I was supposed to be. She told me I was playing Indiana Jones. I was confused as to why she told me that. I was trying frantically to memorize the lines and listen for my cue. It was difficult to listen for it since there was so much going on back stage.

When it came time for Indiana Jones's entrance a young guy that I LARP with went on stage to play him. I was relieved that I wasn't actually supposed to be there since I didn't know the part. I went back to the director to ask what my actual part was. She told me I was the librarian.

I hid the script in a really heavy book to take onstage with me. I didn't know any of the lines. She also eliminated a few of the small roles of patrons talking in the library and gave me those lines. I went on stage and started my scene, something happened in the middle of it that stopped the show.
