NYC, 2-17-10

I was wandering around NYC (but it didn’t actually look like the city). I went into a bar, it was really crappy and two old guys were the band. They weren’t actually playing music, just talking to the bartender about tips. The bartender told them which bars had the best tip jars. The group of people that I was with decided they wanted to take a cab so we all went outside. Four of them jumped into a purple jeep cab and left the other four of us behind. When we realized that the cab fare for the rest of us would be $330 we decided to walk. trying to picture the map in my mind. It was like in a video game when you change screens, I would switch to the map to see what road we needed to take. I couldn’t remember what road we needed after I stopped thinking about the map. We ended up going to a candy store and then the beach. It was really windy at the beach. In front of my friends and me was an elderly couple walking with my dad. He was telling them how the beach reminded him of a funeral today. He said that he once dug a hole in the sand near the empty end of the beach and laid in it watching the sand blow across the top of the hole.
